Website Under Construction

Hello friends!

I'm so excited about a few upcoming projects and a total image makeover that I'm working on right now. Check back soon for a new logo, website and contact info. Thanks for your support and I look forward to working with you again soon!

Merry Christmas!

What a pleasure it was to work with Launa (and Tony) on their May 28th wedding at Sirocco Golf Club in Calgary, AB. These pictures were taken by yours truly, therefore you'll have to excuse the poor quality. Professional photos are coming...

the reception

Sirocco is a unique and beautiful setting for a wedding. The decor used for the ceremony was moved to the head table for the reception (these pictures were captured by the professional photographer and I will post when I get them - www.capturedbycassidy.com)

I am so excited about the future of Aurora Decor. A few corporate opportunities are in the works and two summer 2011 weddings on the horizon, as well as a feature in an upcoming Rebecca Dawn Flower Design newsletter (summer edition) www.rebeccadawnflowerdesign.com.

Thanks for stopping by. If you know of anyone in need of custom decor, please send them my way!

Cheers!

LET'S GET THIS PARTY STARTED!

Aurora Decor has been in business for just over 5 years now! ...and almost nothing to show for ALL that work! Crazy! It has been a privilege to work with nearly 20 clients on some very memorable events! Each event was a labour of love and entirely exhausting! That exhaustion combined with my severe lack of photography skills resulted in nary a picture to share with potential clients!

...
seriously, I'm a good decorator, now do you have a deposit? LOL.

So, here's to a new beginning. The first project that I will feature in my very exciting blog will be Tony and Launa's wedding in late May 2011! Have no fear, I have made arrangements for a fabulous photographer to document my efforts! ...and the wait will be worth it, I PROMISE.

Until May, here's a sampling of my poor photography and a favorite wedding that I did in August '09.

The aisle candles were all lit before guests arrived.

I love trying different backdrops rather than the expected and traditional tulle and mini lights!

My absolute favorite thing is to be a part of the conceptual stages of planning any event, so that the theme is carried throughout. Charity and Quin included me in the planning from the beginning and consequently they had a very beautifully cohesive plan for everything from their invitations to the menu cards at each place setting...and check out that GORGEOUS pintuck satin table cloth!
